Je suis cheffe de la division des économies pays, pour l’Afrique centrale, l’Afrique du nord, et l’Afrique de l’ouest, au sein du Groupe de la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) à Abidjan en Côte d’Ivoire. Auparavant, j’étais chargée principale de la fragilité et de la résilience au Bureau de coordination des Etats en transition de la BAD après avoir été économiste supérieure de recherche au Département de Politique macroéconomique, prévisions et recherche dans la même institution. Avant de rejoindre la BAD, j’étais chercheuse associée et directrice adjointe du programme Emploi et Développement de IZA.
Mes domaines d’intérêt sont liés à l’économie du développement, l’économie du travail, la migration, les questions de genre, l’analyse de politique économique, la fragilité et la résilience. Plus d’informations sur mes recherches et publications peuvent être trouvées ici.
Je suis née et j’ai grandi au Sénégal. En 2002, je suis allée poursuivre des études d’économie et de gestion à l’Université d’Aix-Marseille III en France. J’ai obtenu un Magistère de développement économique en 2007 et un Doctorat en économie en 2013 au Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI), Université d’Auvergne en France. J’ai reçu un certificat de formation des cadres de la Harvard Kennedy School of Government en 2021.

Welcome to my website ! I am Manager of the Country Economics Division for Central, North, and West Africa at the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Prior to that, I was Principal Fragility and Resilience Officer at the Transition States Coordination Office of the AfDB Group; after being a Senior Research Economist at the Macroeconomics Policy, Forecasting and Research Department. Before joining the AfDB, I was Research Associate and Deputy Program Director for Employment and Development at IZA.
My main areas of interest are Development Economics, Labor Economics, Migration, Gender, Economic and Policy Analysis, Fragility and Resilience. More information about my research and publications can be found here.
I was born and raised in Senegal. In 2002, I went to France to pursue my studies in Economics and Management at the University of Aix-Marseille III in Aix en Provence. I completed a Magistère in Development Economics in 2007 and a PhD in Economics in 2013 from the Center for Studies and Research in International Development (CERDI), Université d’Auvergne, France. I earned an Executive Education Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2021.
